Scripty Editor (“Scripty,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a local-first screenplay editor developed and operated by Montoro6 Holdings LLC.

Scripty is designed so you can write screenplays without creating an account and without uploading your screenplay to our servers as part of normal use.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you.

By using Scripty, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy.

1. Local-First Design

Scripty is built around a local-first architecture.

Your screenplay is stored locally on your device using browser storage technologies such as IndexedDB or similar browser storage.

Your screenplay is not uploaded to Scripty's servers simply because you use the editor.

Because your screenplay remains on your device:

• we cannot read it
• we cannot search it
• we cannot access it
• we cannot recover it
• we cannot share it
• we cannot sell it

If you choose to send us your screenplay—for example, as part of a support request—we will only use it to assist with that request.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Scripty, we may collect the following information.

You may voluntarily provide:

• bug reports

• communications with us

If you send us screenplay files or screenshots, we use them only to respond to your request unless you explicitly authorize another use.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use Scripty, we may automatically collect limited technical information such as:

• approximate geographic region derived from IP address

3. Local Browser Storage

Your locally stored screenplay may be deleted or become inaccessible if you:

• switch browsers
• switch devices
• reinstall your browser
• manually delete Scripty data
• your browser automatically clears stored data
• your device is lost, damaged, reset, or replaced

Because screenplay files remain on your device, Montoro6 Holdings LLC cannot recover, restore, replace, or retrieve deleted or lost screenplay files.

You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your work.

We strongly recommend exporting your screenplay regularly.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Scripty may use cookies, browser storage, and similar technologies.

These technologies may be used to:

• operate Scripty
• remember preferences
• maintain security
• measure website performance
• understand aggregate usage
• diagnose technical issues

Browser storage used to save your screenplay is separate from traditional cookies and exists solely to support Scripty's local-first functionality.

You can control cookies and browser storage through your browser settings.

Please note that clearing browser storage may permanently delete screenplay files stored locally.

Where required by applicable law, Scripty will request consent before placing non-essential cookies or similar tracking technologies on your device.

5. Email Updates

If you voluntarily subscribe to Scripty updates, we may send you:

• feedback requests

We may use trusted third-party providers, including Resend, to deliver these communications.

You may unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link included in each email or by contacting us directly.

We do not rent your screenplay.

We do not trade your screenplay.

If ownership of Scripty changes, this Privacy Policy will continue to apply unless users are notified otherwise.

Because screenplay files remain on your device, Scripty does not determine how long they are stored.

For information we receive:

• email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, unless retention is required by law
• support communications may be retained as reasonably necessary to resolve requests, improve support, maintain business records, or comply with legal obligations
• technical logs are retained according to operational needs and the retention policies of our service providers

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect the information we process.

However, no method of internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Because screenplay files are stored locally, their security also depends on your device, browser, and personal security practices.

11. Your Choices

You may:

• unsubscribe from marketing emails
• request access to personal information we maintain about you
• request correction of inaccurate information
• request deletion of personal information we maintain, where applicable
• contact us with questions about our privacy practices

Because screenplay files remain on your device, we cannot retrieve, modify, restore, or delete screenplay files stored locally in your browser.

12. Do Not Track

Some browsers provide a “Do Not Track” setting.

Because there is currently no universally accepted standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, Scripty does not currently respond to them.

If applicable law requires us to recognize browser-based privacy preference signals, we will do so where required.

13. Children's Privacy

Scripty is not intended for children under the age of 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally required parental consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete that information.

14. International Users

Scripty is operated from the United States.

If you access Scripty from another country, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

These countries may have data protection laws different from those in your jurisdiction.
